That's easy. Two reasons: 1. The 14u age group is not by in large looking for college exposure (the Sluggers are obviously the exception based on their schedule). It isn't as important until the 16u age division. Just because they saw you when you were 14 will probably not matter except to peak a little interest. They will see and hear of you later if your really that good.
2. Teams want to set there tournament schedule in winter. It's tough for most families to plan a trip to Marietta, GA when they don't know if they will even qualify. Most KY teams probably would not. NSA, etc have more National qualifying events in this area so it's much easier. As ASA gets bigger in this area it will be easier to qualify. Plus, many do not understand the difference between the national and the northern.
ASA is the main body. KY ASA people have not done a great job compared to NSA, USSSA, etc in promoting.
Even still, I wonder why the Stunners14 and one or two others do not try to qualify.
