Great Report.Any stand out players to report?Who pitched for the BGBlaze?? 14yrs old Scott Co girl is tough cookie pitches very well. Nice to see O.C. doing well.Looks like another promising year for that group.Did you all pitch from 43 feet??? Thanks for the look out.
Everyone pitched from 43 ft. We saw great movement pitches from all the teams involved. Can't say that any pitcher stood out. They all did a fantastic job of pitching at 43ft, keeping composure, and moving the ball. Defensive players that stood out: Centerfield from Mercy, she covered a lot of ground! OC's Catcher - she was as tough as nails and had many PO's that weekend. The OC's second baseman/pitcher had several standout plays, covered a lot of ground...before being taken out for an apparent injury in the Championship Game. The Danville Stampede had a SS that didn't miss a beat.
Bluegrass Blaze/Mercy only had 1 pitcher on Saturday, but both were there on Sunday.
Just wondering, was that a high school fall ball tournament? Seems like most of the teams were identified as high school teams. If so it would be hard to pat anyone on their back this early against high school competition. A travel team should have the ability to beat a high school team. Just my opinion.
