It's time to get travelball rolling again. The 14U division is talented. But, once again, it should be dominated by 2 Louisville teams. Here is my early top 10 rankings:

1. Sluggers
2. Stunners14
3. Southern KY Crush
4. Ky Cobras
5. OC Outrage14
6. Blitz
7. KY Outlaws
8. Blugrass Blaze14
9. Stunners13
10. OC outrage13

By the way - I am an interested but non-biased party. I call it like I see it.

I think we know about the Stunners and Sluggers. You'll have to tell us about the Heartland Rage and the Rockers. The Rage had a nice 12u team and I guess they brought them all up? Rockers have been together for a while and maybe they got some support for the MC pitcher?

Crush has a great team. Dominate pitcher and a couple nice power hitters. Lead off is a tough out. They have started good and had a nice fall. They either beat or nearly beat the Stunners14 in the fall.
Cobras have been together for a while and will have good summer. SK coaches have made them the best in East KY/Lexington/NK
Outrage 14 brings back a lot. Nice pitching will keep them in the game. If batters and defense catch up they will be very good.
Blaze - Very good team overall; Good pitching addition and a couple nice hitters.
Outlaws - Bring back 2 nice pitchers and top half of lineup are tough outs
Blitz is a question since they moved up so many. Pitcher left for Sluggers or Stunners?
Stunners13 - young but good pitching
Outrage13 - young but they work hard; some good bats
CK Batcats - return many with a determined coaching staff

Where are teams playing in the coming weeks?

Watch out for the OC Outrage '94 14U!!! They are 14-0 and have won their first two tournaments. They went 9-0 at the USSSA World Series Quailifier in Columbus, In. Last weekend they went 5-0 in the Schutt NSA tournament in Danville, Ky. I think there batters and defense is very good.

Ourage94 is a very strong team return very good players. They will make some noise. I assume they still have the 2 pitchers from last year. Have they added anyone new?

By the way - Where are the Outrage play this weekend?

Looks like Cobras, Rockers, Stunners, Stunners, Blaze and Crush are all at Sluggerfest in Cincy. Sluggers are at Nashville Hits playing 16U.

Outrage '94 has great pitching! They have the two great pitchers from last year and two more. One from Ballard and one from Oldham Co. They also added a strong Short Stop that can kill the ball. She's from Shelby Co.

Outrage '94 is playing in Columbus, Oh. this weekend. They are in a 30 team 14u ASA 8gg Showcase Tournament.

The 14u division is strong and it sounds like the Outrage is making it even stronger. They are ranked in my top 5. Keep us posted on their result from Columbus. That tournament will be strong.

OC had a great tournament in Columbus!!! Finishing Runner-ups out of 30 teams, 7-1-1. Their only lost this year was in the Champions game that went 8 innings. Great job Outrage!

Wow Sluggerfest was ugly for the Stunners94,according to the brackets they looked like they were misplaced.A Bracket follows
1)Indy Shockwaves
2)Indy Dreams
3)So.Ky Crush
3)Indy Edge
4)Cincy Doom 95
5)Louisville Stunners
6)Cincy Doom Purple
7)Ky Extreme Heat
8)Knoxville Thunder
9)Cincy Static Black
10)Ky Rockers

Sifting through peoples recolection was rough but the brackets didnt lie.Congrats to the Stunners 95 for winning the B Bracket.Looks like the Shockwave were just a srtonger team.

Stunners did make a somewhat early exit from Sluggerfest. Hard to figure with some very talented players. Close losses to Indy teams in which they outhit opponents. But Cadence is right. The brackets don't lie. You are not measured by close games, just wins and losses. That is why they dropped in the Week 2 Top Ten:

BlackJack Top 10 - Week 2

1. Sluggers - nice start against great competition
2. Crush - good showing at sluggerfest; played well against Dreams/Shockwaves but lost
3. Outrage14 - only one loss in 3 tourneys
4. Stunners14 - Indy teams seem to own L'ville teams
5. KY Outlaws - not sure about results lately
6. Stunners13 - won sluggerfest B
7. Cobras
8. Rockers
9. Blaze
10.Outrage13

Indy Dreams were a team that beat Sluggers two or three times last year. Both the Shockwaves and Dreams are quality teams.

This weekend at Bowling Green will be a test for the Sluggers and Crush. Only four teams for a National ASA qualifier BUT one of the teams is out of Chicago, the Orland Park Sparks. They competed a couple of weeks ago in Oklahoma City in the ASA Hall of Fame national qualifier and did well. Other team is Laurel County Rage - Don't know much about them.

On a side note unbelieveable that only 4 teams in a KY National Qualifier...I think I'll make a new topic on this.

Hey BlackJack seems like the Stunners94 held people down to a bare minumum on scoring only being beat by 1-2 runs so there pitching must be good.Did you happen to see any of the of the Shockwaves,Dreams or IndyEdge pitching was it that dominant?Just curious as to what happened?Pitching that strong or was there hitting just weak.
Looking at what the Crush did and noted they were beat as well but by a larger margin.Cobras Rockers Doom all lost by larger margin.STunners 94 got Bushwhacked in there Bracketing 3 Teams Them, Dreams, and the Bracket winners Shockwaves.

Stunners did have a tough bracket draw by playing Shockwaves first game then dreams but I am sure that is what the coaches wanted (with a different result). An error gave up the only run of the game. Stunners catcher was probably the best hitter in the entire tournament but they couldn't get a run across although they probably had more hits. Not sure about Dreams. The Stunner94 pitchers were very good. The Shockwaves had 2 nice pitchers as well. The hardest throwers I saw were the Doom pitcher and the Rocker's pitcher. Stunners94 are tough and they will be back strong I am sure. Stunners95 played B but had no problem with any opponent. Stunners95 pitcher was as good as anyone in either division.

Blackjack,

OC Outrage '94/Leanhart beat Rage 5-3, and Beat Cobras 8-3 in Versailles on Saturday. On Sunday the Outrage only had 9 players, two of their starters were not there when they got beat by the Rage 1-0.

Surprised about the Crush so far good performance soo far.
O.C. 94's look pretty strong as well. Not sure about the Stunners 94 as they have played up and have played up to there opponents expectation would like to see how they fare against a solid 94 team.
Sluggers are doing the same a bit confused as too why the Sluggers and Stunners are playing up unless they are really that good or touching up there game for the bigger Tournaments????
Would love to see both go head to head to quel such rumors and haters soo far .Congrats to the Heartland group for there win last weekend .Soo who's playing where this weekend?

very nice finish but none of Ohio's top 14u teams played this tourney. Not saying the OC could not play with ohio's top teams but none of the top 15 were there. The team they lost to MOV Flamin Fury has a very nice organization and only loses a couple times each year. MD

The OC Outrage 14U won the Louisville Invitational Tourney in Shelbyville this weekend by going undefeated, the Outrage beat the Capital City extreme 12-2, Cobras 11-2, Kaos 10-0 and the Stunners 14 U 4-3 and 2-1. This brings their record to 29 wins 2 loses and 1 tie for the season and the third tourney win and 1 2nd place finish in 5 tourneys. The teams hitting has really progressed well.

OC has really kicked butt this year. Congratulations on a good season.

I looked at OC's schedule on line and it does not look like the schedules match up to play Sluggers 14's. Next time Sluggers are in KY will be Versailles July 17 in 16U.

Not sure how I got lumped in with the," O.C. Madness",but, before you get the Cart in front of the Mule, slow your roll!!!I am very unbiased when it comes to this board on the 14's 12's 16's or 18's.I have a dog in the fight but I say it like I see it,facts first, and always.Fiction although it be as interesting as it may seem, hinders the perspective of an unbiased party. I just don't like it when persons dime a kid out.Thats wrong!!Never right,no matter what.Even if the kid boots a ball causes an error so on and so forth thats starts a snow ball into an avalanche,it's a team game and a team sport so the blame is a teams responsibility and never an individuals.Diming anyone out or talking bad about an individual is terrible and toxic, we all have parents on every team that are toxins so to air your laundry soo to speak is just pathetic and uncalled for, leave it home people. This board is to promote the sport, doing anything less is just piss poor ethics and you'll be,and rightly soo ousted for it.
Week 4/5
1)Sluggers
2)Crush
3)O.C. 14
4)Stunners 94
5)London Rage
5)Stunners 95
7)Ky KAOS
8)O.C. 13
9)Ky Cobras
10)Ky Rage
My list stands and for one reason the Crush is an Awesome power house and until the O.C. and the Crush play head to head the Crush still poses a serious threat to the O.C.
They were a top contender in the Cinci Slugger Fest a National Qualifier for A.S.A. 32 teams and got 3rd in it as well,so they still get a top billing in my book.

Crush has a great team. They were beat by Stunners in the fall and haven't played Outrage. Sluggers are way ahead mostly because of pitching but do have some tough bats. Stunners strand too many runners and are making errors at bad times. Outrage doesn't "appear" to have a great team but they had the grit to come from behind in the last inning and beat Stunners. It is unbiased:

Khaos?? Ky Rage??

Blackjack Top 10 (6/29)
1. Sluggers
2. Outrage14
3. Stunners 14

Blackjack Top 10 (7/13)

1. Sluggers (won only 14u event they played in KY; starting pitcher gives them a slight edge in my ranking)
2. Stunners14 (a few dissapointing losses but on a major roll winning NSA and ASA States; super talent level)
3. SK Crush (dissapointing losses to MC Magic and Heartland Thunder in ASA)
4. London Rage (nice hitters)
5. Outrage94 (great start but lack of good competition every week has caught up)
6. BG Elite
7. Heartland Thunder
8. Marshall Co Magic94
9. Stunners95
10. Outrage95

Results are result.

Bell is supposed to transfer but she is a soph and would likely have to sit out.

Don't know who the coach is for BG Elite but they played a good ASA State tournament. Sound fundamental team.

Recently attended the ASA State Tournament in Bowling Green and saw a 4th pitcher for the Stunners. I was told her name is Bree Abrams and attends a parochial school in Louisville. Appears to be a versatile and savvy player with range.

Stunners did use 4 pitchers. Bree is a tough player that plays several positions. Coaches utilized every player throughout tournament, especially since they had to win 8 straight games. It's nice when you can go 4 deep...

Stunners and Crush go to Panama City this week to the USFA A Nationals. Very, very tough tournament with teams from all over TX, FL, GA, LA, AL, etc.

Stunners13 and Outrage13 go to Maryland for USSSA 13U Nationals.

Rockers, Rage, BG Elite play in Versailes. Sluggers play in Versailes 16U.

Where is everyone else?

I knew I recognized her from somewhere she and The other mercy pitcher threw 3-4 innings at most of the HS state tourney. With both of them being sophomores will they both stay at mery for 3 more years?

Stunners and Crush go to Panama City this week to the USFA A Nationals. Very, very tough tournament with teams from all over TX, FL, GA, LA, AL, etc.

Stunners13 and Outrage13 go to Maryland for USSSA 13U Nationals.

Rockers, Rage, BG Elite play in Versailes. Sluggers play in Versailes 16U.

Where is everyone else?

They will likely both stay at Mercy. Colleges will include summer ball in their recruiting criteria.

Mercy will just have to find a way to get them both some innings.

Must be nice to have 4 pitchers who can also play other positions. We (magic) were short handed last weekend only had 9 players friday night plus has to drive 2 1/2 hours to BG to play the crush. Then on Sarurday we lost our other pither and big hitter to a knee inury and LF to a groin injury.finished 3rd game with 8 players. Wish we would have been at full strength, but inuries happen. I think we are going to Henderson this weekend, we don't have the funds to overnight very much. Good Luck in Florida.

Isn't bell's dad the coach at beth haven?

Bell is supposed to transfer but she is a soph and would likely have to sit out.

Don't know who the coach is for BG Elite but they played a good ASA State tournament. Sound fundamental team.

Bell's dad is the coach for Stunners and Beth Haven. He is supposedly leaving and only coaching summer ball.

Tough weekend for Magic but a nice win against the Crush after losing the opening game. Have always had a nice team. Tough to lose the kid to a knee injury in the middle of the tourney. The leadoff HR against the Stunners seemed to get the whole team a little down. We all knew the Magic94 was good. They have been a good team for years.

The Magic team I saw at BG looked good, but different from what I remember. Some of the girls looked familiar but some new faces. Are they still Marshall girls with the exception of a pitcher from Lone Oak?

This magic team is a little different, pitcher, catcher, and 2nd base are from Reidland. Marshall has 4, Ballard Memorial 1, Graves Co 1 and 1 from lone oak.

I thought I was pretty familiar with the South Central KY teams, but I've never heard of the Elite. The Crush should be the best team in the area by far. I was suprised that another team did that much better then the Crush.

We played in 12U last year, I was wondering if it was a team that moved up and changed their name. If anyone has any info, I'd be greatful for the info.

Blackjack said BG Elite. I thought BG was Bowling Green. Turns out it was Bluegrass. I know which team they're talking about now. My mistake. Carry on, Carry on.

The only 14U teams I know that are out of Bowling Green are the Static, Crush, and Thoroughbred Sports Academy. It seems like I remember a Blitz team but if they are out of BG they would have to be older (or playing a schedule where our paths have never crossed).

While the ACS HS team is pretty young, I think most of their girls would have to play in 16U. The Pardue kid (pitcher) is 14U I am pretty sure and if I am not mistaken she plays for one of the Stunner teams (I could be wrong, but it seems like I read that somewhere). Someone told me the Pardue kid was touching 60 mph. Pretty impressive if the rumors are true.

Mr. Mystics

Is Pardue pitching for Kim at 16U? The Stunners and Sluggers get mixed up in my head. I confuse them all the time. Maybe I read she was pitching for the Sluggers. IDK.

She is pitching for Sluggers16 and she is very good. I'll hold the radar gun but I sure don't want to hold the cather's mit!

By the way - I thought Thoroughbred Sports was an Owensboro team? Not that it matters I just thought that all along.

Where was the Static14? I thought they would be at the ASA state.

I haven't seen the Static all year. I don't know where they have been playing. I will say there is bad blood between the Crush and the Static (I am not and have never been associated with the Static or Crush). The Static was the best team in BG until there was a disagreement on the way the team was being managed. One coach left and took 3 or 4 of the most talented girls on the Static with him and ended up with the Crush (who at the time was the 2nd best team in BG). The Crush parents will tell you that the Static won't play in the same place as them because they know they'll get beat. The Static parents will tell you that they don't want to deal with the drama of dealing with the Crush faithful. The short version? The Static won't play where the Crush play. That's why they didn't play in the ASA tournament.
